As part of its contribution to education advancement, the Christ Miracle Mission Church Worldwide (CMMC), Ojodu Berger, Lagos, has awarded scholarships to some members of the church to support their schooling.

At the event, cheques between N200, 000 and N1 million were presented to 20 beneficiaries by the founder, Peter Adebisi.

Speaking on the initiative, Adebisi explained that it is the church’s long-standing commitment to uplift lives through a combination of educational grants, food aid, and skills training.

He said the church has gained recognition for its outreach initiatives, which not only award scholarships, but also provide food and equip individuals with skills to ensure long-term economic empowerment.

This dual approach serves immediate needs, while promoting sustainable self-sufficiency within the church and the community.

Adebisi said the outreach has already helped over 1,000 families with scholarships, and the intention is to reach 5,000 families.

The cleric, who has been awarding scholarships to indigent students over the years, expressed his desire to help more people overcome poverty through education.

Adebisi added that by prioritising practical skills, the church is also fostering self-reliance among members, allowing them to contribute to the community.

Apart from educational grants, the church’s empowerment efforts also included vocational training and health support.

Adebisi noted that beyond providing training, the church also monitors beneficiaries’ progress, encouraging them to reinvest their skills back into the community.
