Teach for Nigeria recently held an exciting Literary and Debate Day at Obanta Comprehensive High School in Awa Ijebu, Ogun State. The event was organized by seven dedicated Teach for Nigeria Fellows to give students a platform to showcase their skills and talents. The theme for the day, “Discovering the Potential in That One Child,” set the tone for a celebration of young learners and their abilities. The event took place in Ijebu North Local Government, bringing together students from five different schools.
The day featured a series of engaging activities, including a quiz competition, a spirited panel discussion, a dance contest, and a debate. Each activity allowed students to shine in different areas, building confidence and showing what they could accomplish. The lively debate and dance competitions were especially popular, creating a fun, competitive atmosphere that kept everyone involved.
