The UBA Foundation invites senior secondary students in Nigeria to participate in its 2024 National Essay Competition. Organized annually, this competition aims to foster a reading culture and promote intellectual engagement among secondary school students across Nigeria and Africa. The essay competition encourages students to think critically and provide innovative solutions to pressing issues.

Aim and Benefits of the National Essay Competition
The top three winners of the competition will be awarded educational grants to attend any African university of their choice. The prizes are:
- Winner: ₦7,500,000
- First Runner-up: ₦5,000,000
- Second Runner-up: ₦3,500,000
Requirements for Participation
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a Nigerian senior secondary school student.
- Provide complete contact information.
- Upload a handwritten essay (maximum 750 words).
- Submit a recent passport photograph.
- Upload a scanned copy of their birth certificate, national ID, or international passport.
