The Yale Young African Scholars (YYAS) Program 2025 is a unique opportunity for African secondary school students to explore careers, prepare for university, and develop leadership skills. This program is free of charge, and offers both online and residential options.

Key Benefits:
- Tuition-Free: The program covers all costs, including housing, meals, and academic materials for the residential program.
- Travel Grant: Students living outside of Kenya may qualify for need-based travel grants to assist with transportation costs. Eligible students will be considered for the travel grant upon receiving an admission offer.
- Certificate of Completion: Students who complete the program receive a PDF Certificate to include in college applications.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age: Applicants must be between 14-18 years old in 2025 (born between August 18, 2006, and July 17, 2011).
- Education: Applicants must be in 10th or 11th grade (or equivalent) and attend school in an African country.
- Language: Proficiency in English is required.
- Graduation Date: Students in the Northern Hemisphere must graduate between May/June 2026 and May/June 2027. For the Southern Hemisphere, graduation must be between November/December 2025 and November/December 2026.
