The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) is inviting Nigerian students to participate in the 2024 World Maritime Day Essay Competition. This competition aims to raise awareness about the maritime sector and encourage Nigerian youths to pursue careers in the field.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the competition, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a first or second-year student in a Nigerian tertiary institution.
- Must submit a 1200-word essay (+/- 10%) on the theme “Navigating the Future: Safety First!”
- Provide proof of studentship, including an admission letter and student ID card.
- Essays must be submitted in Microsoft Word format, double-spaced, and font size 12.

- Write an essay on the topic “Navigating the Future: Safety First!” in line with the World Maritime Day 2024 theme.
- Scan and attach your proof of studentship (admission letter and ID card).
