Scholarship Details
The 2025 David Sainsbury Scholarship is an opportunity initiated by the David Sainsbury Laboratory for a one-year full-funded MSc scholarship at the University of East Anglia.
This one-year course is a mixture of five taught modules and a 5-month research project. These compulsory elements are exclusive to this course.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be in receipt of an offer of a place on the UEA MSc in Global Plant Health
- Not be national of or domiciled in a least-developed, low-income, or lower-middle-income country or territory as defined by the Overseas Development Agency Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list, version 2024-25 for entry in 2025-26 academic year.
- There are a limited number of scholarships available and these will be awarded throughout the year, therefore, applicants are advised to apply early.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of the scholarship will receive:
- The full cost of the tuition fee (£35,450 international fee for 2025-26)
- Maintenance grant (exact value at the UKRI postgraduate researcher stipend level to be determined for 2025-26; in 2024-23 it was £19,237)
- An additional £4,000 for travel costs (subject to valid economy class travel receipts)
