Applications are now open for the 2024 Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Scholarship Programme. This initiative offers high school scholarships to young learners with a curious and entrepreneurial mindset, academic potential, and financial need. Scholarship recipients will receive funding to enroll in leading high schools across South Africa, along with support to develop their entrepreneurial talents.

Scholarship Requirements

To be eligible for the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a current Grade 6 learner in the year of application
  • Be a South African citizen
  • Be between 11 and 12 years old in Grade 6
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Obtain a minimum of 70% in both English and Mathematics

  5. Scholarship Award:
    • Candidates approved by placement schools will be awarded the Scholarship.
    • A Memorandum of Agreement will be signed by the Foundation, placement school, and the Scholar’s custodian.
