The European Union Traineeship Program 2024 offers students a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience in EU policymaking through paid placements in its offices across Europe. This program provides a valuable chance to work in an international setting and gain practical experience while receiving a living stipend of €3,000 to help cover expenses during the traineeship.

Young graduates interested in international relations can apply for the traineeship in the Political, Press, and Information Section (PPI) of the EU Delegation to Nigeria. The PPI Section supports the Head of Delegation in managing political relations with Nigeria and ECOWAS, analyzing political developments, and engaging with local authorities, civil society organizations, think tanks, and the media. It also assists in regional monitoring and reporting.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the European Union Traineeship, applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a university degree. Trainees will be involved in drafting reports on political developments, human rights, economic situations, and other relevant policy areas. They will also support the PPI Section in organizing meetings, drafting minutes, assisting in communication activities, public diplomacy events, and preparing for visits from EU institutions.

Benefits

Selected trainees will receive a monthly stipend to help cover living expenses. On average, trainees can expect to receive around €500 per month. This financial support is designed to help with the cost of living during the traineeship.
