1,000 Ibadan Students Completed 5-Day Tech Training Program with CodeGarageAfrica

CodeGarageAfrica, in collaboration with the Oyo State Government, 386konsult, and Zeeh Africa, is excited to announce the graduation of 1,000 senior secondary school students from Ibadan. These students completed the intensive 5-day tech training program, known as the 1000 Lines of Code initiative, held at the International Conference Center in Ibadan. The program was designed to equip students with crucial technology and coding skills.

During the training, students engaged in interactive workshops and hands-on coding sessions, focusing on web and mobile app development, software engineering, and digital literacy. The curriculum, crafted by industry experts, provided practical experience through real-world tech projects.

Dolapo Ayeni, Co-founder and Chief Brand Officer of CodeGarageAfrica, expressed pride in the students’ achievements, stating, “We are incredibly proud of what these students have achieved in just five days. This program is essential for equipping our youth with digital skills for the future, and we are dedicated to supporting their growth and success.”

The graduation ceremony celebrated the students’ hard work and accomplishments. The event was attended by notable guests from the Oyo State Government and partner organizations, emphasizing the significance of such educational initiatives in advancing technology and education.

Victor Funmipe, a cybersecurity expert and event organizer, highlighted the program’s impact: “This initiative is a significant investment in our future leaders. We look forward to seeing the positive effects these students will have on the tech industry and their communities. Their success demonstrates the power of collaboration and innovation.”

David Adeleke, CEO of Zeeh Africa, praised the initiative, noting, “The students created a Criminal Database for the Oyo State Government, which is a remarkable achievement. We hope the 1000 Lines of Code initiative will expand across Nigeria.”
